My goal when taking these photo was to be able to get a nice silhouette of the trees. I decided that taking the pictures at sunset would allow me to get the silhouette best because the trees are dark, but there's just enough light to capture a picture. I also tried to convey a moody feel in my images.
I decided to take a photo of this tree with pink flowers in a park near my house. I think that pink trees really convey the light airy mood of spring, so that's what I was trying to do here. The first image was the most difficult to get because I had to get underneath the tree, focus on a single bunch of blossoms, and capture the photo while the wind was moving it. The movement made it hard to get my camera to focus.
I took these photos eye level to the grass. I was trying to capture the beauty of the dandelions with these photos. If I were to do this again, I would probably take photos of grass that didn't have any leaves or brown pieces in it. It messes the mood of the photos and takes the focus off the grass and dandelions.
I took these photos in the forest on a very sunny day. The first photo is similar to the one above, I just really like capturing tree branches, and I think it's an interesting perspective. The second photo was more difficult for me because I didn't know what to focus on or what angle to take the photo from. This is why I just took it straight on. I used the rule of thirds by putting the ground in the bottom third, and trees in the top two thirds.
